Low Sperm Motility, IUI or IVF
Low sperm motility, but not the most common cause of male infertility can be one of the causes of the most frustrating of male infertility. Sperm motility refers to a measure of the sperm of a man in motion. It is measures such as percentage of total sperm, sperm counts increased at a rate that they reach the fallopian tubes to fertilize an egg.
IUI or intrauterine insemination, it is the fundamental processes of reproduction available. In this procedure, sperm are “washed” and then placed directly into the uterus. This procedure allows a greater number of sperm in the fallopian tubes, where they can fertilize an egg.
IUI is an effective method of reproductive health, in some cases. IUI is particularly effective in male infertility, when a man has low sperm count, because it allows the care provider or fertility specialist concentrating reproductive sperm and put them in a much more useful. However, sperm motility and IUI are not particularly good game.
If you have a problem with the sperm motility of more aggressive treatments are often necessary. IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), is often a better choice for a man to the lower sperm motility IUI.
With IVF, the sperm motility less of a problem. Another method of treatment, the sperm motility is low, with a procedure called ICSI, which stands for intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
In this procedure, sperm are directly placed in the center of the egg for fertilization. ICSI instead of IUI, is the preferred treatment when a couple of problems with fertility, because it has problems with sperm motility under.

I tried for 2 years to get pregnant with no success. Come to find out my husband had poor motility. I did all the research I could on this subject and came across two ingredients that worked for us. Acetyl-L Carnitine and L-Carnitine. I gave him 4,000 mg a day of Acetyl-L Carnitine and 3,000 mg a day of L-Carnitine. 4 months later, we were pregnant. It works! There are multiple studies on these particular items working for motility. DH’s count was fine, but his motility was only 25% and they want it to be a minimum of 50%. You have to remember that it takes 90 days for sperm to mature, so anything you try will take a minimum of 3-4 months. This shows that his body responded right away to this. I had tried everything else in those two years prior…all sorts of other supplements, standing on my head, LOL, etc. This is the only thing shown to work for low motility. You have to take high doses; that’s the key to it’s success. I had an appt. set up to see an IUI Dr. and when I got the BFP I cancelled that. I recommend giving it a try. We’d given up all hope and thought we’d have to go the route of IVF or IUI.
